Daily Blog 14 of 14…
Its over. Cho and I walked from 12 midday Sunday straight through the night and arrived at the Atlantic Ocean at 9am today local time. 85km in 21 hours.
Feelings? Almost impossible to convey. I’d prepared myself to be disappointed but I was close to tears looking out into the warm crashing waves with Cho at my side. A day I will never forget for the rest of my life. No-one will ever take that away from us.
Thank you to everyone who has helped Cho and me achieve this world first. Whether you’ve sent money, advice or support messages, thanks for joining in our madness and understanding why this expedition meant so much to us.
The cynics have been silenced – it is possible to walk the Amazon – we’ve just done it.
All future blogs will be send via www.edstafford.org. I now can’t wait to see my family and friends at Heathrow on Wednesday afternoon at 3:30pm.
Thank you all. From two very tired yet elated people.
Ed & Cho

Ed & Cho, job well done. You have once again proved that whatever a person’s mind can conceive, believe, focused and determined, one can achieve it. The two of you are heros and an inspiration to present and future generations of children, youth, young men and women to pursue their dreams, desires and ambitions to the glory of God Almighty.
I am proud of you and the whole world is proud too for rising such awareness about the Amazon in general.
The world would forever be indebted to you two.

Dear Ed,
What can I say. What you have done is so great. You have given a sens to your life …
“Who dares win” could sound familar to a soldier like you.
You dared, you won !
Hope to read once in my life the book of your adventure.
Man, you are great.
Cheers
Yeah!! Congratulations Ed and Cho! You have demonstrated awesome determination, perseverance, and achievment. Also a lot of skill in navigation and walking without a path through some of he most difficult terrain in the world, gnarly jungle no less! Your senses will be as finely tuned as your bodies by now! I hope Cho gets his share of recognition, I think Ed was very lucky to have Cho join him and walk with him to the end. The 2 of you supported each other all the way; and I’m sure Cho as a local man helped greatly in interactions with the people you encountered. He seems like such a down-to-earth cheerful man, easy to get along with. I hope we get to know what he does next, as well as Ed.
Anyway, good on you both, enjoy your success!!
Hello Ed,
No wonder that cyberspace wasn’t strong enough to bring all the messages to you & Cho.
It has been an adventure following you both & I admire and am amazed by what you’ve achieved.
Only the highest level of madness can reach this point!
Congratulations…. You both are an amazing team.
Good luck for the both of you in the future.
Enjoy the pint of beer, milk, whatever! Cheers, let it be a good one!

Hello. I my name is Djalma Jr. and I live in Porto Velho, Rondônia (Brazil). I have no words to say how much I’m happy for you and by Cho. honestly, I think you crazy because I live the Amazon forest and how much it is dangerous and vindictive. if you hurt her, she hurt you and that is why you survived, you respected her. please do not do it again (LOL)
Oi Ed & Cho,
Admiration and respect for both of you…Followed every single piece of the adventure. Loved your humility, madness and incredible humor in such circumstances !
Very emotional arrival…was so happy for you. What a beautiful link you created between Cho and you. How is Cho now ? where is he living ?
Thank you again for sharing this amazing and educative trip…
I will diffuse the most as possible your performance…
I ‘ll have a great Burgundy wine to celebrate your success ! As I need something to justify my drinks !
Saude !

Hi I’m from South Africa and I read the article in one of our newspapers out here (the Sunday Tribune).. I find your story truly inspirational. Well done on finally finishing!
CONGRATULATIONS Ed. I knew you would do it – but whenever I told anyone they’d often say ‘can’t be done’, including one of the world’s experts on the Amazon who told me he’d often had to arrange rescues for people who’d got into difficulties. YOU DID IT. Amazing, and thank you for sharing your adventures. I’ve followed your journey from the launch in London organised by Project Peru up to now.
Congratulations! Well done. I m Colombian, live in London, I would like to know you. X X
Hey Ed,

Ed & Cho, you are increadible.
Valeu.
